URS is one of the world’s leading engineering and environmental consultants, offering professional planning, engineering and architectural design, environmental, construction and programme and construction management services throughout the UK and internationally.

Currently looking to recruit a Landscape Architect to join our Dublin Office – You will join our existing team in an interdisciplinary office and you will form a key player in assisting on a variety of projects.

Your projects will include;
Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for developments such as:
Wind farms, grid infrastructure and substations, quarries, marine wave energy generating schemes, industrial, commercial and residential buildings as part of Environmental Impact Assessment projects.
This work will include site visits, research into relevant environmental and planning policies and designations, regional and national legislation, production of drawings, figures and graphics;
Tourism and community projects, including interpretation planning, community-led planning, public consultation, design workshops, village and town appraisals, scenic drives and viewpoint strategies; and Public realm and Landscape design from conceptual to detail design stage, including parks, business and commercial developments, residential developments, campuses, street design, and small public realm projects.

Your responsibilities will include:
Production of high quality construction drawings; construction detailing;
Production of high quality presentation drawings and graphics for clients;
Good writing and communication skills;
Contributing to client proposals, business development and ensuring high quality of service;
Interdisciplinary work in conjunction with intercompany and external project teams;
Supporting project managers and other staff with technical detailing, technical illustration and other office duties with integrity and flexibility;
Organising and managing your professional work responsibly and independently where necessary;
Carry out professional work with care, conscientiousness and with proper regard to relevant technical and professional standards; and
Ability of working to meet demanding deadlines.


Minimum requirements for this post are as follows;

Proficiency in using AutoCad, GIS (Arc View), Photoshop and Illustrator
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines autonomously
Dedication to high quality outcomes
A good understanding of the Irish landscape
Previous professional experience in a similar role will be preferable

Degree or Masters in Landscape Architecture accredited by EFLA/IFLA, the UK Landscape Institute and/or the Irish Landscape Institute
