Introducing the Diane Nickels Award for Landscape Hand Drawing.
The Diane Nickels Award is a new special Commemorative Award for Landscape Hand Drawing.
The award has been launched in honour of Diane Nickels, who passed away 7 years ago. Diane was the first female president of the Irish Landscape Institute, and was renowned as a highly skilled sketch artist, who could quickly turn around sketches and hand-drawn plans that beautifully and simply communicated design ideas, concepts and technical problem resolutions. See some of Diane’s work in Landscape Ireland magazine:
This award is to recognise, promote and celebrate one of the Landscape Architect’s key skills – the use of drawing, by hand, as a means to communicate, develop and articulate design ideas. Entries to this award are submitted via the awards registration form. See full details on how to enter here.
