White Acre Park

Cunnane Stratton Reynolds were commissioned to design a local park as part of ongoing redevelopment of the Shangan area of Ballymun The park is located on the site of a former tower block and will form a valuable recreational amenity for local residents. The park must also allow for storm water attenuation.

The park is a contemporary and dynamic design with spaces created to appeal to all sectors of the community, young and old. Children’s play areas, ball areas, pergolas and performance spaces are incorporated within this area. Materials selected are robust and durable with minimum maintenance. The materials also tie in with the palette selected for the adjacent redevelopments.

Total Budget for Park and Streetscape improvements was €1.6m approx.
