Downey Landscape, part of the Downey Group which consists of Planning, Architecture and Landscape, are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated Landscape Architect to join our multi-disciplinary team based in Dublin City Centre.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Landscape Architecture; 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Landscape Architect, strong graphic design skills, particularly in AutoCAD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and SketchUp software packages as well as interest in hard and soft International Landscape Design, corporate membership status with the Irish Landscape Institute or chartership status with the Landscape Institute UK as a bonus but not a minimum requirement; we offer full support and mentoring towards achieving the Chartership Status with the Irish Landscape Institute (MILI) and Landscape Institute UK (CMLI) as well as sponsorship of professional membership fees.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects throughout all stages of the design, including feasibility studies, planning applications, tender & construction design, on site supervision as well as Landscape & Visual Impact assessments for projects across the residential, commercial, town enhancement, open space, public realm and transportation sectors.

The role is full time, on permanent basis and would include working from the office located in Dublin 2 and remotely from home on bi-weekly schedule (one week – working from the office > subsequent week – working remotely).

 

Qualifications / Experience / Skills required:

  • Degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design
  • 3 to 5 years of post-graduate experience
  • Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud / Creative Suite
  • SketchUp or other 3D modelling software being an advantage
  • Knowledge and keen interest in hard and soft landscape design and detailing
  • Planting / horticulture knowledge
  • Biodiversity / Sustainable Design knowledge
  • Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of tasks assigned
  • Ability to deliver tasks from inception to completion under supervision of senior staff
  • Effective team working skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional qualifications but not a minimum requirement:

  • Corporate Membership with Irish Landscape Institute or Chartered Membership with Landscape institute UK

Position of Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager in our Dublin Office

 

Cunnane Stratton Reynolds is an award-winning national practice with offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway, offering full Landscape Architectural, Town Planning and Arboricultural services. We also offer services in the UK through our sister offices in London and Manchester. The practice has a broad and expanding portfolio of park/public open space design, masterplanning and public realm work, commercial and residential projects, landscape and countryside resource planning and landscape planning / impact assessment. We are currently looking to appoint an experienced and  Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join our friendly team in our centrally located offices in Dublin.

 

The applicant should be a team player with good technical skills who wishes to be involved in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and challenging. The role is for self-motivated individual with good design detailing, site and construction experience in hard and soft landscaping. The role offers significant potential for professional development and advancement, working on a wide range of landscape projects for a range of private and public sector clients.

 

You will have a Degree in Landscape Architecture, MILI or equivalent or eligible/working towards full membership,  at least 5-10 years experience with a strong emphasis managing and delivering projects through detailed design to site, excellent AutoCAD skills and a full driving licence.

 

You will demonstrate a technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following job/project accountabilities:

  • Working as a Project Manager, project management responsibilities, including contractual, financial and programme management of projects through design, detailing and construction.
  • Establish strong working relationships with other members of the landscape team and internal teams across the business.
  • Clear communication, including the ability to write concise technical reports and to contribute to conference calls, meetings and workshops.
  • Be client facing and respond to client requirements.
  • Produce or oversee the production of drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software, with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development: strategies, conceptual design, detailed design and production information through to supervising implementation of works on site.
  • Assist in compiling tender submissions and securing new work.
  • Have the technical ability, knowledge and competence to manage and provide guidance to teach and develop junior.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team.
  • Have a clear understanding of the design and construction process including contractual and statutory requirements such as BIM and BCAR process.

Ronan MacDiarmada & Associates Ltd are a Dublin based landscape architecture practice with over 25 years’ experience.  RMDA offer services from design stage through to construction.  Our projects include public and private commercial developments, residential developments, healthcare, and education campuses.

We have an opportunity for a Landscape Architect with a minimum of three years’ experience to join the team and work across projects in a variety of sectors.  The successful candidate will be required to manage projects through the life cycle of the project from design stage to completion & construction, working with a variety of stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Skills and experience required:

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture (B.Sc. Landscape Arch)

  • Ability to communicate confidently and professionally

The Position – permanent full-time

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated graduate Landscape Architect to join our growing environmental management team in Dublin. The post holder will support the expansion of our landscape and environmental services across Ireland, working on projects across a wide range of sectors.  We have a broad portfolio of work including park design, residential development, flood relief schemes, SuDS/attenuation projects and environmental assessment projects.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will, amongst other things:

-Provide landscape design input into a range of projects;

-Assist with Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) and input to the Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs)

-Organise and undertake site surveys for landscape design and LVIA projects, and where required assist other teams, such as our ecologists, with basic site survey work;

-Write technical reports and other outputs; and

-Work with colleagues throughout JBA, and liaising with clients, regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates will need a recognised/accredited degree in a landscape architecture, a track record in graphic skills and ability in hand drawing, familiarity with engineering and illustrative drawing packages including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator, and GIS software and have a confident approach to design.

Ideally candidates would have membership of Irish Landscape Institute or UK Landscape Institute and be on the path towards chartership;

Have gained some experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the objectives of large and complex commissions; and

Have a full Irish or UK driving licence.

Mitchell + Associates is a Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practice based in Dublin. We are currently looking to expand our team to service a range of exciting new projects, primarily in the Dublin area.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Landscape Architect, preferably with LI/ILI professional qualification (or equivalent) and with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience after graduating from an IFLA accredited Landscape Architecture/Design course. The successful candidate will be required to lead and develop projects from masterplanning and/or conceptual design through to the detailed design and delivery of a range of landscape/public realm projects on site, working usually within multi-disciplinary teams.

We are also seeking to appoint Graduate Landscape Architects with a minimum of 2 year’s relevant post-graduation experience and who are interested in obtaining the LI/ILI professional qualification. The successful candidates will be required to assist in the design and delivery of large landscape/public realm projects and depending on assessed capabilities, to lead the design of smaller scale projects, from inception to completion.

Candidates for each position should possess demonstrable skills in Landscape Design and be proficient in AutoCAD and Photoshop commensurate with experience and be able to demonstrate good ability in the use of related design and illustration software packages. They should also possess good written and verbal communication skills, as client/design team liaison, engagement with and presentation to stakeholders, agencies and local communities on projects is an important aspect of the role. An ability to work both within a team and independently is also a required attribute of candidates for both positions.
