Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment Specialist – Model Works, Dublin
Model Works is seeking a landscape architect – at project or more senior level – specialising (or keen to specialise) in LVIA/landscape planning to join our LVIA team in our office in Blackrock. The company provides a specialist LVIA service to complement its development visualisation services.
We have a large client base, a growing workload and are involved in some of the most exciting urban projects in the country. Increasingly, we are becoming involved in projects at feasibility and early design stage, advising on building height and massing parameters. We also work on transport and renewables projects, tourism projects, etc.
The ideal candidate will have:
- a degree in landscape architecture and membership of the ILI (or LI);
- experience of LVIA preparation:
– good knowledge of the GLVIA, EPA guidelines for EIAR, etc.
– excellent research, analysis and report writing skills;
– good knowledge of the planning system, processes and hierarchy of policy documents;
- full driving licence;
- ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy but pleasant work environment.

REDscape is looking for experienced part-time staff (retired, semi-retired, or just part time) on a project basis. You will coordinate with the office remotely (e mail and mobile) and otherwise be fully independent. You will act as employer’s representative during construction and liaise with different parties for regular updates on the supervision of project delivery.
We expect from you:
A qualification in architecture, landscape architecture or similar for delivering projects on site.
Min 10 -15 years’ experience in delivering projects with an affinity for craftmanship, problem solving and providing options.
Excellent communication skills, able to function in team and to work independently.
To act as employer’s representative on behalf of REDscape.
To guide and support project execution and relay requests to main office.
To have flexible availability to cover sites visits and attend meetings.
To manage your own work schedule based on an agreed performance on a project basis.
To work remotely and have your own transport.
We do not expect from you:
To be a designer. Our back-office is available for support.
To make technical drawings or work with drawing software.
To be in an office.
