Bord Bia Bloom 2027 open for applications
Bloom has commenced its annual search to find the most talented garden designers and landscape architects from Ireland and overseas to deliver Show Gardens at next year’s festival, which will take place in the Phoenix Park, Dublin over the June bank holiday weekend.
Interested parties must demonstrate they have the talent, ambition, and capacity to bring a garden from initial concept to design and execution over eight busy months in the build-up to Bloom. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with sponsors, network with peers, build your portfolio, and showcase your talent to more than 90,000 visitors and media on this prestigious national stage.
The deadline for entering is 1pm on Thursday, November 26th and full details can be found on bordbiabloom.com.
Win an opportunity to deliver a Show Garden at Bloom
Bloom’s prestigious Cultivating Talent competition is back! Launched in 2022 in a bid to support emerging talent in the landscape design industry, this exciting programme offers one up-and-coming designer with the opportunity, funding, and mentorship to deliver their first Show Garden at the festival.
Previous winners include Joe Eustace, Graduate Member of the Irish Landscape Institute, who has gone on to design three further award-winning Show Gardens at Bloom, plus this year’s winner, Jack Donovan, who impressed judges with his concept for his Alltar Show Garden.
Jack is urging other newcomers to apply for the 2027 competition. “The Cultivating Talent programme is such a great opportunity to showcase all of your skills among such amazing creativity and talented designers,” he says.
If you think you have what it takes to design a garden at Bloom, then we’d love to hear from you. More details and the entry form can be found on bordbiabloom.com. The deadline for entering is 1pm on Thursday, November 26th. Good luck!
