From transformative age-friendly communities and landscapes to energy-efficient design, these awards celebrate excellence across the full breadth of the profession. This is your opportunity to showcase projects that are shaping healthier, greener, and more resilient futures.
The IFLA GLA Awards were designed with local association members' diverse realities in mind:
Categories: We are recognising 18 distinct areas of practice, including Age-Friendly Communities and Landscapes; Children and Youth; Climate Action; Desertification and Sustainable Land Management; Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction; Ethics, Equity, and Justice; Energy-Efficient Design; Food Systems and Agriculture; Heritage; Indigenous Knowledges; International Landscape Convention; Landscapes for Cities, Settlements, and Territories; Migration and Inclusive Communities; Nature Conservation and Biodiversity; Technology and Innovation; Urban Health and Well-being; Water Security and Management; Young Landscape Architects and Emerging Professionals.
Global Equity: A Tiered Fee Structure based on World Bank Income Groups ensures that entry fees are fair and accessible for every country tier.
The IFLA Hub: Winning work will not just receive a trophy; it will join a global database of case studies used for research, advocacy, and policy-making.
Hong Kong 2026: Finalists will be celebrated at the IFLA World Congress in Hong Kong at the end of October.
