CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF THE VENICE SYMPOSIUM

We are pleased to announce VENICE 2026 – 11th International Symposium on Energy from Biomass and Waste, taking place from 23 to 25 November 2026 in Venice, Italy in the prestigious Palazzo Dandolo at the iconic Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, just steps from Piazza San Marco.

This edition marks a significant milestone: 20 years since the Symposium was first established. Since 2006, the Venice Symposium has been organised every two years without interruption, growing into one of the leading international scientific conferences in the field.The Symposium has been a pioneer in expanding the concept of waste-to-energy to include all forms of energy recovery from waste and biomass.

The 10th edition brought together 214 delegates from 36 countries, with outstanding participation from South Korea (39 attendees), as well as Italy, China, Japan, and Germany.
