If you wish to explore the subject matter further, Diarmuid Torney has suggested a few Irish-based podcasts on climate that he would recommend:
– Five Degrees of Change by Daniel Murray, a journalist with the Business Post who covers climate & environment issues. In each episode he interviews a leading expert in the field and asks their recommendations for climate policy and also what they are doing themselves about their own carbon footprint
– Covid Alarmclock: A great new podcast by two of my students, Ellen Hegarty and Darragh Wynne, who are/were students on our MSc in Climate Change. It explores the parallels between covid and climate change and asks what we can learn from our response to covid for how we respond to climate change. It just launched last week.
– Climate Allies by Ali Sheridan, who has worked in a range of corporate sustainability roles including with IKEA and Bord Bia, and who is now undertaking a PhD in Maynooth on the role of business in tackling climate change.
– Climate Queens by Katie Harrington and Clodagh Kelly. Katie is another one of my students on our MSc in Climate Change. It’s an entertaining and very accessible perspective on sustainability.
